We’re beyond excited to have Miriam in the Lofoten Seaweed family!
Born and raised in beautiful Ramberg, the municipal center of Flakstad island, Miriam is as local as they come. Except for a few years in Trondheim for her studies, she’s spent her entire life surrounded by the majestic mountains and salty air of Lofoten. Now living in Fredvang with her husband and three children, she brings a grounded, community-minded spirit to everything she does—and we’re here for it.
Before joining us, Miriam ran her own flower shop for five years, nurturing her deep love of plants and all things that grow. Now, she’s diving into the world of seaweed—an ocean plant she finds absolutely captivating. As she puts it: “To now be given the possibility to learn a lot more about seaweed is to me very captivating, and this company in particular really sparks my curiosity.” We can’t wait to share everything we know with her—and to learn from her in return.
Fun fact: Miriam has been a Lofoten Seaweed fan from the very beginning! Her all-time favorite product? Truffle seaweed salt. (“I use it on almost everything I cook!” she says. Same, Miriam. Same.) She’s followed Angelita and Tamara’s journey from the start, cheering them on as a proud local and now stepping into the seaweed story herself.
When she’s not cooking up something delicious (she swears by cream and butter), playing cello in a local orchestra, or hiking with her kids in the Lofoten wilds, you’ll find her giving back to the community in more ways than we can count. She currently sits on five local boards (yes, five!) and still finds time to play a weekly volleyball match for fun and fitness. Talk about inspiring!
