Oatmeal with honey, nuts and seaweed

Oatmeal with seaweed
There are few things more comforting than a warming bowl of porridge! It’s the perfect way to start the day for many people who live in colder climates, like us here in Northern Norway. Porridge is cheap, easy to make, and keeps you full until lunch. It’s also really versatile and adapts well to your favourite ingredients and toppings. We’ve sweetened ours with honey, but you can also use fruit jam for a vegan alternative. If you’re a real porridge nut, you can even make savoury porridge using stock instead of milk (we’d recommend dashi – the seaweed-based stock!)

Makes 2 portions

Ingredients:

50g Oats
350ml Oat milk
50g Nut mix
1tbsp Arctic Ocean Greens
½ tsp Arctic Seaweed Salt
1tbsp Honey

Directions:

1)
Place the milk and oats into a saucepan and bring to a simmer, stirring continuously for 10 – 15 minutes or until the desired consistency is achieved.
2)
Add the honey, Arctic Ocean Greens and Arctic Seaweed Salt.
3)
Transfer to a bowl and sprinkle with the chopped nuts.
