A healthier twist on the British traditional scone. Enjoy as a part of your brunch with or without topping.
Makes approximately 6 scones.
360g plain flour
85g salted butter
5tsp baking powder
20g Simple Seaweed Blend
170g plain yoghurt
25g parmesan cheese
Blend flour, baking powder, salt and winged kelp in a food processor until combined.
Add chopped, cold butter and 20g of parmesan cheese blend it just until combined.
Transfer mixture to a mixing bowl add milk and yoghurt, mix until combined, do not overwork/ knead the dough.
Place the dough on a floured surface roll to 4cm thickness and cut it with pastry ring.
Transfer scones to the tray with baking paper, brush them with egg wash sprinkle on top with remaining parmesan cheese and simply seaweed blend.
Bake 180 C/ approx. 12min. Rest on the pastry cooling tray.
