It combines traditional Lofoten flavours with a modern twist, creating a unique, umami-rich seasoning that celebrates local food traditions.

How can I use Lofoten Umami in cooking?

Lofoten Umami works as a versatile topping or finishing seasoning. Sprinkle it over rice, noodles, salads, eggs, steamed vegetables, or grilled fish. It can also enhance soups, grain bowls, and simple snacks, adding deep umami flavour.

What does Lofoten Umami taste like?

Lofoten Umami has a complex savoury flavour with rich umami from seaweed, subtle nuttiness from sesame seeds, and the distinctive oceanic and slightly sweet taste of dried Lofoten stockfish. It adds depth and character to both simple and refined dishes.

Are there any allergens or dietary considerations?

Lofoten Umami contains fish, sesame, lactose, wheat, and soy. It also naturally contains iodine from the seaweed, which should be considered if you are monitoring iodine intake or have thyroid-related concerns. Use in moderation as part of a balanced diet.
